I love this story - it may seem long - but worth the read !


A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do, and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might...So, this the man did, day after day.
For many years he toiled from sunup to sundown, his shoulders set squarely against the cold, massive surface of the unmoving rock, pushing with all his might!Each night the man returned to his cabin sore and worn out, Feeling that his whole day had been spent in vain. Since the man was showing discouragement, the Adversary (Satan) decided to enter the picture by placing thoughts into the weary mind: (He will do it every time)!You have been pushing against that rock for a long time and it hasn't moved.' Thus, he gave t he man the impression that the task was impossible and that he was a failure. These thoughts discouraged and disheartened the man.Satan said, 'Why kill yourself over this? Just put in your time, giving just the minimum effort; and that will be good enough.'That's what the weary man planned to do, but decided to make it a matter of Prayer and to take his troubled thoughts to The Lord.'Lord,' he said, 'I have labored long and hard in Your Service, putting all my strength to do that which you have asked. Yet, after all this time, I have not even budged that rock by half a millimeter. What is wrong? Why am I failing? 'The Lord responded compassionately, 'My friend, when I asked you to serve Me and you accepted, I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all of your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task was to push. And now you come to Me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed.But, is that really so? Look at yourself. Your arms are strong and muscled, your back shiny and brown; your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard.Through opposition you have grown much, and your abilities now surpass that which you used to have. True, you haven't moved the rock. But your calling was to be Obedient and to push and to exercise your Faith and trust in My wisdom. That you have done.
Now I, my friend, will move the rock. ' At times, when we hear a word from God, we tend to use our own intellect to decipher what He wants, when actually what God wants is just simple obedience and faith in Him. By all means, exercise the Faith that moves mountains, but know that it is still God Who moves The Mountains.

When people don't do as you think they should......Just P.U.S.H.
When your money is 'gone' and the bills are due......Just P.U.S.H.

P = Pray

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.'

For Our Stake Relief Society Conference ... A group of ladies and I were assigned to do the decor and food display for that day. The theme was

"Be thou and Instrument in the Hands of the Lord"

We picked brown and pink to be the colors and just layered and layered and layered stuff.

Fun times !! It was a really nice time had by all ! We did alot of humanitarian, a brief video and A Musical Parable "The Ten Virgins" - was amazing !!

Now that I've been released from Rs (only for like 6 weeks - hehe) I was super glad to be back in the sister mode :-)

A MUST HAVE !

We had a meeting a while back and I was looking for something to write on ... well look not more :-)

This is a clip board from walmart for $1.19 and some paper I already had -- plus of course bling, frosting, any kind of fruuff !












I do believe everyone should have one of these for all meetings - we would (I'm sure) get so much more done and be waaayy more creative !

So -here are a few pics of our emergency room night !! Pretty much ALL night long . Thank goodness - it was just hives and they are starting to get better... still there but not so bad. She had them all over -- poor thing :-( -- But being in the hospital gave me a deeper appreciation for the blessing of health our family does have almost every single day of our lives . Grateful !

We HATE Hives !!

About a month ago we started with a "rash" mom thought ... little did I know it was hives and they would take over our every thought and action for about the next month !! Rrrrr... I almost started a blog then - just to help get some ideas how to handle these dang things ! We were at the doctor 2-3 times . In urgent care twice .... and finally had a trip the emergency room !! Ashlynn had a hard time breathing and her lips and neck/throat started to swell ! Freak the mom out !!

Well - once again it was beautiful last night ... So - we decided to eat out back - Ashlynn always wants to bring out the candles and candelabras . So - we pretty much did . We all had dinner by candlelight :-) Makin Memories - That's the good part of life !!

Hi - Mr. Camera Man - It's just me - the mom - you know the one who made the meal, cleaned off the table, patio, did the dishes, basically stood on my feet for 12 hours straight for dinner :-) ( ya -right )

Gorgeeeous Day !!

It's time now to change the flowers in my pots and plant the summer guys.... Well - I went to take down some of my hangin plants - and - look what I found - some eggs ! Ashlynn and I tried to look at them without being to disturbing --- (you know so the mom comes back) - and as far as planting in the pot right now ... well you know that's a no go. But maybe some day we will have some baby birds -- We will let you know if our family grows -- hehe :-)

Here's some pics of our flowers and roses in the yard . I LOVE watching flowers, bulbs, seeds grow - and we all know that happens for a brief moment in the good ol' az.

Hello Everyone !

First part of April - weather is changing - starting to warm up and lots of blooming in the air . Here we come summer !

Conference was awesome ! Love Pres Monson - who doesn't really ?

Ashlynn jumped in the pool today - freezing ! She gets this way every year about this time and just can't wait to get in but by the time summer is over - we are all done with the pool. Here are a few pics -- my friend Kelyn stopped by and we were both freezing - but Ashlynn was lovin it :-)
