Gratitide Day 15

Day 15 - Grateful for the ability to do Cakes .

Today I am grateful that I have been blessed and have the opportunity to do cakes . It has been such a blessing in my life . Years ago a friend asked me to do her " wedding cake " - it pretty much freaked me out for a minute then ... I went to work on learning . I will forever be grateful for that friend ( tara ) for pushing me to the test AND Believing in me !!

Then when I was a single mom - that gift was already in place ... so I once again was blessed ... with opportunity to stay home ( except for a few times ) with my daughter . That brought me A TON of peace at a difficult time . I know the ONLY reason why I have the talent is because of my Heavenly Father . He gave me the hands , the creative mind , the desire to bake ( all the time ) , and He continues to send people my way who order cakes . Without any of blessings , it would not be possible .

For this I am GRATEFUL !

Gratitude Day 14

Day 14 - Clean - Running Water

Today I am grateful that I live in a time and a place that has this ! It is so nice and wonderful to go to my sink , bath , shower etc. etc. and just be able to turn the water on ;-) -- and the toilet !! ( well -that's a whole nother major thing in itself !! )

For those of you who don't know me so well - i'm not really the hunter , camper, outdorsy , dirty kinda chick ... OK - I'm NOT AT ALL !

So - I am so very happy that I can drink clean water and wash with clean water . AND for that fact so is my family and the people who hang out with me ;-)

When I see natural disasters and countries who don't have these things .. I feel for them and once again am reminded of the sweet tender mercies I have in my life ...

For this I am grateful !!

Gratitude Day 13

Day 13 - Friends

Today I am grateful for good friends ! I have been very lucky

in my life to have good friends ;-)

People have come in and out of my life and even though I may not talk to them on a daily basis ... I still consider them my FRIEND . Also - through my life I have been hugely blessed to have the kind of friends that were good examples to me , and friends that I could call in a bind , and friends whom I could trust , and friends whom I could laugh with , and cry with , and share lots of things with ;-) .. . Thank you to ALL my friends !!

Gratitude Day 12

Day 12 - Another Year Older

I am grateful today to be another year older .... not to have more wrinkles and watch everything on my body change ( inside and out . rrrr.... ) But I am grateful because that means I have had another year of learning , laughing , loving , serving , and spending time with friends and family . Another year means I was healthy and
able to do many things every day !
For this I am GRATEFUL !

Field Trip for 6th grade

Ashlynns school had a field trip to the Az Science Center . I was lucky enough to be able to go with the 6th grade . I have a great job that is very kind in letting me have time to do them kinds of things ;-) Anyway - we went on the bus and had a great time ... I'm so glad she

will still talk to me and wants to hang out with me

( even in front of her friends ) -- which I know most of them at school already anyways .

I love all those 6th graders ! I do I do !!

Gratitude Day 11

Day 11 - Veterans

Today I am especially GRATEFUL for the men and women in the military ! I am grateful to the veterans that I know and the ones I don't know ;-)

I am so thankful for their service and sacrifices , even their lives , for every one of us ! I can NOT even begin to understand or have any idea what it must be like . I can only imagine what their families go through . What wonderful men and women !! I am so happy to think of them and have a love for them -- for because of them - we have and get to do the things we want to on this very day !! Which is to HONOR them !!

Gratitude Day 10

I am grateful to be a GirL !!!

Being a girl - i get to enjoy many things in life !! Pretty things to wear , to buy , to make , and to try , to have , and much prettier ways to express my inner me ! For example -- I can make pretty flower pens , fru fru stuff (which is right up my alley ) and I do believe it's just better. There are a few things that are difficult about being a girl -- not to mention pushing a child that is 8 pounds from the female organs of my body .... RRR...rrrr !

But to be a girl I am grateful for !!

If I was a boy -- I would have to try and seem interested in things like these ... just really not as great !! ;-) -- plus there's other things that are dirty ... ewww

Gratitude - Day 9

Day 9 - My BED
I LOVE my bed !!

I am Grateful for my bed . I know not everyone around the world has a comfortable bed to lay down on each night ... there are many people who don't own beds or for that matter homes . And I am grateful that I have MY bed - I'm also grateful that my girls have beds too ;-)

I ALSO Love my leopard and animal print pillows -- just a little side note ...

But it's nice and oft I do feel spoiled to have some place I can fall into

each night and rest -- for this I am Grateful !

Gratitude Day 8

Day 8 - A New Baby Cry

I Love to hear a brand new baby cry .. . I think it is one of the sweetest sounds on EArth !! Now i'm not saying it's great at 2 and 3 and 4 and , and , and , all the times in the very middle of the night and day ..

But when you haven't heard one for a long time -- you start to miss it . It's good for them to cry when they are first starting - to learn and use their lungs -- that means they can breath and they are healthy ;-)

I'm grateful to hear little baby cries all around me -- It seems i can hear them when no one else around me can .

I'm grateful for the new little spirits that are coming down to be our friends !

Gratitude Day 7

Day 7 - Nice People

I am grateful for the nice kind people you see every day that smile at you or someone else , there those people that are trying to be patient with someone in line that may be taking too long , the people that stop to help others , the people that help the elderly , or when a mother needs help opening the door with 5 kids under the age of 3 - they help , they are the people in the check out that have 500 items in front of you - and you have 2 - so they let you go ahead of them , they are people all around us . Some we notice ... Some we do not ... Sometimes they may actually be us . I am especially grateful for the kind acts that I see around me - and then in return am motivated to do myself daily . Then there are "those " people who do the kind acts without ever telling a soul and THEN expect NOTHING in return - they keep no tabs or have no agenda for themselves -- someday when I grown up I hope to be more like "them" ... one of these people is my husband . He is a great example of this to our family !! Thank YOU !!! to everyone and all if you have done one of these kind acts ! Or maybe it's time for aLL of US everywhere to start and Pay It Forward With A Kind Act ...
